The BUFF-MEGAMO TEAM has capped off a spectacular week with a brilliant finish, achieving a hat-trick in the ninth edition of the Transgrancanaria Bike and leading the UCI ranking as the best MTB team in the world.
The race, in its second consecutive year within the UCI circuit in the S2 category, took place from Thursday, May 16th to Sunday, May 19th, with a total of 4 stages. This year, the race came down to the final day with everything to play for in the general classification. The Dutch rider Hans Becking started as the leader, although with less than a minute's advantage over his pursuers. In the women's category, Rosa Van Doorn began the last day with the intention of reclaiming the red jersey she had lost in the previous stage by just 46 seconds. Ultimately, Rosa maintained a lead until the finish line, securing the victory in her first Transgrancanaria Bike and debut in the event.
Meanwhile, Hans Becking, the Dutch champion, claimed his second consecutive victory in the Transgrancanaria Bike, accompanied by Enrique Morcillo, who had an excellent race, finishing in 3rd place in the general classification.
The BUFF-MEGAMO TEAM is performing impeccably this season with their great ally, the Megamo Track. It is challenging to be at the top of the podium every week, but this season the team is achieving it flawlessly, demonstrating how great they are.
