The Cantabrian town of Ramales de la Victoria was yesterday, Sunday 11th September, the setting for the Spanish Marathon Championship. A route of 65 kilometres and more than 2,500 metres of positive difference in altitude.
On this occasion, Enrique Morcillo, Txell Figueras and Guillem Cassú from BUFF-Megamo Team travelled to Cantabria to compete in the race.
Although Morcillo maintained a leading position for much of the race, he was left out of the battle due to several technical mishaps, thus distancing him from a possible position on the podium.
On the other hand, great news in the women's category, Txell Figueras did a sensational performance getting the second place of the Championship. Congratulations Txell!
