DOUBLE PODIUM FOR THE BUFF-MEGAMO TEAM AT ROC D'AZUR

This weekend the Roc d'Azur took place in Fréjus and Roquebrune-sur-Argens (France), one of the most prestigious and well-known events in the MTB world. With a total of 30,000 participants between all its events, it is undoubtedly the biggest cycling festival in the world, offering competitions for all tastes.
This time, it was Hans Becking, Hugo Drechou and Peeter Pruus who represented the team at this massive event. Although the Roc d'Azur on Sunday is the most popular race, the most important competitive event was the Ford Roc Marathon on Friday, which was also the last race of the UCI Marathon Series.
The Ford Roc Marathon is a bike-marathon of 94 km and 2,600 metres of elevation gain. The terrain is really demanding, rocky and full of climbs and descents and, even so, there were almost 2000 bikers who faced it last Friday. As it could not be otherwise, the starting grid had the best bikers and XCM teams in the world such as Canyon Northwave, Wilier Pirelli, Soudal Lee Cougan or Bulls, among others.
Hugo Drechou showed his exceptional form, consolidating first place in one of the most relevant races in his country. The Frenchman took the victory in a sprint finish against the European champion of the discipline, Fabian Rabensteniner.
It was not until the last few metres that the BUFF-Megamo rider was crowned champion of the race, Hugo showed great work throughout the race and his efforts were not rewarded until he crossed the finish line.
On the other hand, Hans Becking and Peeter Pruus also set the bar very high, the Estonian rider took 5th place in the overall classification while Hans Becking took 7th place, an exceptional job by everyone at the team!
As if BUFF-Megamo didn't have enough with their results in the UCI race on Friday, on Sunday Hugo Drechou was on the podium again, taking the silver medal in the popular race after 54.5 km in XC.
On this occasion, Hans and Peeter once again proved their prowess by making it into the top 10 of the finishers: Hans took 7th place, while Peeter crossed the finish line in 10th position.
This will be an unforgettable edition for the BUFF-Megamo Team, the team is coming to the end of the season in excellent shape and showing what they are capable of. Congratulations to the whole team!
