The BUFF-MEGAMO TEAM has left its mark on the thrilling 4Islands competition in Croatia, held from Tuesday, April 16 to Saturday, April 20. This demanding race for pairs covered a total of 272 km and 6210 m of accumulated elevation spread over 4 stages and a prologue.
On this occasion, the team was divided into three pairs: Pablo Rodríguez with Wout Alleman, Hans Becking with José Dias, and Janina Wüst with Rosa Van Doorn.
All three pairs of the BUFF-MEGAMO TEAM completed the race, demonstrating their endurance and determination with each kilometer traveled.
While our female riders stood out from the first day, maintaining their position at the top of the overall standings and securing victory in each stage, as well as gold in the overall, our male riders faced physical and mechanical challenges that prevented them from shining as usual.
In particular, an incident in the second stage affected Pablo Rodríguez, who was brought down by another cyclist just 15 km from the finish line while leading the stage with Wout Alleman.
Despite the blow suffered, Pablo managed to continue the race with his teammate Wout, finishing in a commendable fourth place overall. Hans Becking and José Dias finished in seventh place.
It has been a great race for the female team, which has proven to be unbeatable during these 5 days. And our male pairs are eager to face new challenges with renewed strength and determination.
