SILVER FOR HANS AND HUGO AT THE 4ISLANDS MTB CROATIA

From Tuesday 18th April to Saturday 22nd, Croatia hosted the 4Islands, a stage challenge that is part of the Global MTB Epic Series circuit.
The participants rode in teams of two on the trails of 4 different Croatian islands, covering a total of 291km and 6150m of accumulated altitude.
The BUFF-MEGAMO TEAM duos for this edition were Hans Becking with Hugo Drechou and Enrique Morcillo with Peeter Pruus.
Both pairs started the race with very good sensations and results. In the prologue, Hans and Hugo came first and Enrique and Peeter fourth.
The competition continued to go well for Hugo and Hans, who managed to finish on the podium in every stage. In the end, they were proclaimed runners-up in the 4Islands MTB Croatia. It is worth mentioning the good work and the good race of the two riders who were able to stay strong and fight until the last stage to get this second place in the overall standings.
Enrique and Peeter were unable to finish the race due to an injury suffered by Peeter in the second stage, which forced him to abandon the race.
Enrique continued running alone and managed to finish the race, taking the finisher's medal and being named the new Epic Legend. This means that Enrique has completed all the races in the Epic Series at least once: Cape Town, Andorra Epic, Swiss Epic and 4Islands.
Congratulations to the runners-up and to Enrique for becoming a new Epic Legend. And lots of encouragement to Peeter as he recovers from his injury.
The BUFF-MEGAMO TEAM season continues to move forward with new challenges and events as the team accumulates more and more podium finishes.
